Its name is a tribute to Jacques Saadé, founder of the CMA CGM Group, an exceptional visionary and a one-of-a-kind entrepreneur.
Its 500 vessels sail throughout all the seas. They serve more than 420 ports on all 5 continents. In 2019, they transported nearly 22 million containers. When placed end to end, they can circle the earth three times.
With its subsidiary CEVA Logistics, the CMA CGM Group transports more than 2 million tons of goods and products each year, inland and by air. It also manages 750 warehouses around the world, representing 9 million sqm of storage capacity.

Jacques Saadé was a visionary entrepreneur.
As early as 1978, he anticipated the revolutionary potential of container transport and founded the Compagnie Maritime d’Affrètement (CMA).
The CMA adventure, which began with a single ship and four employees, quickly became one of the world’s leading container shipping groups.

On June 2nd, 2020, Rodolphe Saadé announced the Group’s ambition of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050
